    Join us for a morning of workshops designed to present an overview of the state of the gender gap (including pay equity and leadership).The focus is on building awareness of the issue and presenting initiatives to close the gender gap in our own organizations.

    Workshop 1: The Story is in the Numbers

    The story of gender inequality is told skillfully through the numbers.  An awareness of the issue is built through a presentation of the economic and social impact of inequality. 

    Workshop 2: Communication Tips to Eliminate Gender Pay Disparity  

    Dr. Joel Worden                                Associate Professor                   Goldey-Beacom College

    A review of current research and business perspectives on the role of communication in gender inequality is presented.  This provides the foundation for an interactive session on improving communication skills with an examination of methods of communication including body language.

    Workshop 3: Being Accountable in a World of Inequality

    Joan Verbonitz Panik      Assistant Vice President in HR Strategy       Amtrak

    In this keynote presentation, Joan will be sharing her thoughts on how to address inequalities in the workplace with a focus on personal accountability.  Through real-life experiences, she will offer suggestions with practical application, including how to leverage relationships, awareness, and curiosity to your advantage.
